About the Role:

The Senior Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for both client retention as well as growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner's products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Foster strong relationships with clients to drive customer satisfaction and retention, while identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Quota Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets, with a quota responsibility of $800,000+ of contract value within a territory of major client accounts.
  • Sales Methodology: Master and consistently execute Gartner's sales methodology to drive results and achieve sales objectives.
  • Account Planning and Territory Management: Develop and execute account plans to drive growth and expansion, while managing territory effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Forecasting and Analytics: Maintain accurate forecasting and analytics to drive business decisions and optimize sales performance.
  • Competitive Knowledge and Focus: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Product and Service Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of Gartner's products and services to effectively communicate value to clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8-15 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology (services, software, or consultative environment), with evidence of prior success in Sales.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen, with proven experience building excellent client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organizations.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree - desired.
