Job Overview

Facility Administrator:
The Facility Administrator is expected to possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience demonstrating managerial and leadership capabilities overseeing more than 30 staff members, encompassing business operations, project oversight, and human resources management.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree such as a Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Health Care, Education, Management, Business Administration, Behavioral Sciences, Nutrition, Nursing, or Health Administration.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting, retail pharmacy, or medical office, ideally at the associate Facility Administrator level or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptions may be considered for supervisory experience if the candidate can clearly demonstrate the ability to manage the effective administration of a correctional or detention facility with a significant inmate population.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and maintain inventories related to space, furnishings, and equipment.
  • Monitor adherence to the organization's established standards for space, furnishings, and budget.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with medical database software is preferred.

This position is affiliated with the VA; military experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process, with a starting salary set at $110,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Authorize, initiate, interpret, and enforce policies and directives for effective administration.
  • Work closely with physicians, providing necessary oversight regarding direct patient care responsibilities to ensure exceptional quality of care and compliance with relevant company policies.
  • Provide insights on maintenance, repairs, purchases, or policies that may enhance operations, reduce liability, or improve resident satisfaction.
  • Assist department heads in formulating and implementing departmental policies and procedures, fostering teamwork across departments.
  • Regularly review the facility's policies and procedures, at least annually, making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with current regulations (e.g., ADA, ergonomics, air quality).
  • Clarify the facility's policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the facility to ensure established policies and procedures are being followed, including periodic visits during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Manage and maintain contracts and insurance documentation.
  • Oversee, schedule, coordinate, and monitor all relocation and rearrangement projects involving Information Services.
  • Ensure timely arrangement of building services.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
