Position Summary:
The School Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the environmental services team at a designated campus, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations.

This role provides leadership, support, coordination, and guidance to meet quality standards, maintain inventory levels, uphold safety protocols, and fulfill customer service expectations.

The Manager embodies the essential characteristics that drive the Company's Purpose, Vision, Values, and DNA.

Additionally, the Manager coordinates and ensures the timely and satisfactory completion of various projects and programs within the facility across different shifts.

Utilization of protective gear is mandatory in all relevant tasks.
Maintains accurate records of income and expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
Ensures all equipment is well-maintained and operational.
Guarantees the facility is stocked with adequate janitorial supplies.
Conducts periodic inventories of supplies and materials, trains new staff, and recommends dismissals when necessary.
Acts as a liaison between building occupants or administrators and the environmental services team.
The Manager must effectively communicate directives from management and building occupants to the environmental services staff.
Is capable of performing the duties of day porters, custodians, and floor technicians.

Training, quality control, and in-service training for staff are critical responsibilities of the Manager, which include conducting regular tours of the building to assess work quality using Quality Control Inspections (QCIs) for documentation purposes.

As a department head within the school, the Manager is expected to conduct themselves and their department in a professional manner.


Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Two years of experience in Environmental Services within a school or healthcare setting, along with personnel supervision, is desired.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- Must be able to understand and complete all in-service training.
- Punctuality is essential.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
- Understanding and implementation of basic infection control procedures are required.
- Capability to handle and mix chemicals safely and appropriately.
- Flexibility to work all shifts as needed.
- Knowledge of Environmental Services, laundry, and floor care program requirements.
- Proficiency in using all departmental equipment.
- Ability to maintain records and complete necessary reports.
- Strong written and oral communication and teaching skills.

Skill in employing public relations techniques to effectively promote the Environmental Services, laundry, and floor care programs to clients and residents.

Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, and other personnel, as well as the public.
Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as mandated by State, Local, and/or Customers.

Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.

Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
Residency within the service area is required; no relocation costs are covered.
