Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Information Services Manager will oversee the execution, support, lifecycle management, and strategic direction for content within assigned programs. This role will involve:

- Training, mentoring, and guiding IS team members, while also leading various projects and initiatives as designated.

- Utilizing extensive knowledge of healthcare operations, along with strong communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership skills to direct the design, development, and implementation of essential systems.

- Promoting ongoing process enhancements in the delivery of application services across CHRISTUS Health.

- Keeping abreast of current and emerging trends in healthcare technology, actively pursuing information to remain informed about best practices, application solutions, and services, with a focus on incorporating innovation in a practical and cost-effective manner.

- Ensuring that responsibilities and projects remain within defined scope.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee, manage, and report on daily operations to the Director to ensure efficient and effective functioning of existing integration services and platforms.

- Accountable for Incident Management, Request Management, Problem Management, Deployment Management, and the management of integration system upgrades and platforms.

- Lead the implementation of new platforms/products for Integration teams, including necessary migrations to updated systems.

- Ensure adherence to Integration policies and established procedures, including Change Management protocols.

- Strategically plan for resource allocation and prioritize the workload for which Integration Support is responsible.

- Effectively manage a diverse workload across multiple functions while leading a team of assigned associates.

- Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and develop direct reports to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

- Conduct performance evaluations for assigned team members.

- Manage the time and attendance/payroll for assigned associates.

- May require travel to fulfill job responsibilities.

- May necessitate working outside of standard hours.

- May involve extended hours during critical issues or implementations.

- Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education/Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

- Financial acumen related to budgeting, forecasting, and managing substantial departmental budgets.

- Strong understanding of major healthcare information systems.

B. Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within Information Technology.

- Experience in delivering and managing customer support in a complex organizational structure.

- Ability to manage multiple and intricate projects simultaneously.

- Consistent demonstration of positive communication, strong critical thinking abilities, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

- Adaptable and flexible, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.

- Proficient in resource management, including resource forecasting and budgeting skills, with the ability to collaborate across a diverse and geographically dispersed organization.
