The Information Services Developer II is a key role within CHRISTUS Health, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems based on business requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of development methodologies and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and functional requirements to formulate a design strategy that meets the needs of CHRISTUS Health.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and address technical issues, implementing solutions that are time and cost-effective and do not compromise performance quality.
- Develop and deploy code using industry-standard tools and platforms, adhering to organizational development rules and standards.
- Participate in the evaluation of proposed system acquisitions or solutions development, providing input on compatibility, cost, resource requirements, operations, and maintenance.
- Integrate software components, subsystems, facilities, and services into the existing technical systems environment, assessing the impact on other systems and working with cross-functional teams to ensure positive project outcomes.
- Install, configure, and verify the operation of software components, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Participate in the development of standards, design, and implementation of proactive processes to collect and report data and statistics on assigned systems.
- Research, design, develop, and implement applications, databases, and interfaces using technologies and platforms provided.
- Research and implement programs to improve system performance and quality.
- Identify and resolve problems arising across the test cycles, continuously improving the quality of deliverables.
- Document each phase of development for future reference and maintenance operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and processes.
- Knowledge of algorithm and data structure concepts.
- Critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Understanding of programming principles and design.
- Strong technical knowledge of application, integration design, and development of systems, databases, operating systems, and information services.
- Ability to solve complex problems with direction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees.
- 4+ years' experience in corporate systems environments.
- Minimum of four (4) years development experience in a corporate environment.
- Working experience in design, coding, and deployment.
- Knowledge of industry-standard web platforms (.NET/C#), automation (RPA and test automation), Microsoft Internet Information Server, Linux, Apache, Unix, Microsoft Foundation Server.
- Experience working with internal or external customers for an organization in coordinating work and designing solutions.
- Experience utilizing the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
