Overview:

The Information Services Operations Manager will oversee the implementation, support, lifecycle management, and strategic direction for content within designated programs. This role will involve:

  • Training, mentoring, and coaching IS team members, while leading various projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Utilizing extensive knowledge of healthcare operations, along with strong communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and management skills to guide the design, development, and deployment of essential systems.
  • Driving continuous process enhancements in the delivery of application services throughout Christus Health.
  • Staying informed about current and emerging trends in healthcare technology, actively seeking information to remain updated on best practices, application solutions, and services, with a focus on incorporating innovation in a practical and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensuring that responsibilities and projects remain within scope and applicable parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, managing, and reporting daily operations to the System Director to facilitate efficient and effective planning for resource utilization and prioritization of the workload for which IS is accountable.
  • Successfully managing a diverse workload across multiple projects while leading a team of assigned associates.
  • Recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, and developing direct reports to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Conducting performance evaluations for assigned team members.
  • Managing the time and attendance/payroll of assigned associates.
  • Travel may be required to fulfill job duties.
  • Work outside of standard hours may be necessary.
  • Extended hours may be required during critical issues or implementations.
  • Other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Financial acumen related to budgeting, forecasting, and managing substantial departmental budgets.
  • Strong understanding of major healthcare information systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Information Technology leadership role.
  • Experience in providing and managing customer support within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects effectively.
  • Consistent demonstration of positive communication style, strong critical thinking skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and flexible, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Strong resource management skills, including resource projection and budgeting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across a diverse, geographically, and culturally varied organization.
