- Responsible for maintaining high-quality ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for all Inpatient diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accurate and compliant coding practices
- Collaborate with Health Information Management (HIM) and Clinical Documentation Specialists to optimize coding accuracy and billing efficiency
- Report to the Regional Coding Manager and work closely with leadership to drive coding excellence and quality improvement initiatives
- Assign codes, abstract data, and validate dispositions to ensure accurate and timely coding
- Meet or exceed accuracy and productivity standards, contributing to the overall success of the coding team
- Assist in reducing backend errors and reporting hospital-acquired conditions, promoting a culture of quality and safety
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Health Information Management or a related field
