Overview:

The Information Services Developer II plays a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of systems tailored to meet specific requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of development methodologies and adhere to these practices during the design and coding phases. This position necessitates collaboration with team members to ensure high-quality support for both internal and external users, emphasizing customer service and promptness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate concepts and business needs to create a comprehensive design strategy.
  • Serve as a key contributor in developing a practical application design and coding framework with essential functionalities.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify challenges and implement effective technical solutions that are both timely and cost-efficient, ensuring performance quality is maintained.
  • Write code that aligns with industry best practices while adhering to organizational development guidelines and standards.
  • Utilize existing tools and platforms for automation and testing during the development and deployment of code.
  • Engage in the assessment of proposed system acquisitions or solutions development, providing insights on compatibility, costs, resource needs, operations, and maintenance.
  • Integrate software components, subsystems, and services into the current technical systems environment; evaluate the impact on other systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams within Information Services to ensure a positive project outcome. Install, configure, and verify the functionality of software components.
  • Contribute to the establishment of standards and the design and implementation of proactive processes for data collection and reporting on assigned systems.
  • Participate in the research, design, development, and implementation of applications, databases, and interfaces using provided technology platforms.
  • Engage in problem-solving throughout the testing phases and continuously enhance the quality of deliverables.
  • Document each development phase for future reference and maintenance operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle and processes.
  • Proficient in Algorithms and Data Structures.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of programming principles and design.
  • Extensive technical knowledge in Application Integration Design and Development, systems, databases, operating systems, and Information Services.
  • Able to resolve complex issues with guidance.
  • Effective and patient interaction with customers, particularly under pressure.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate systems environments.
  • At least four years of development experience in a corporate setting.
  • Hands-on experience in design, coding, and deployment.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard web platforms (.NET/C#), Automation (RPA and Test Automation), Microsoft Internet Information Server, Linux, Apache, Unix, and Microsoft Foundation Server.
  • Experience in collaborating with internal or external customers to coordinate work and design solutions.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
