POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marine Operations Technician is responsible for executing operational tasks related to emergency response for hazardous and non-hazardous spill clean-up projects, ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Uphold Health and Safety as the primary objective by adhering to established policies and procedures.
2. Assist team members on various projects, performing physically demanding tasks in potentially challenging environments and varying weather conditions.
3. Deploy and operate a range of equipment related to marine services, emergency spill response, and industrial cleaning, including workboats, skimmers, pumps, and cranes.
4. Manage the loading and unloading of equipment and materials, ensuring proper deployment and anchoring systems.
5. Complete necessary documentation to comply with regulations, including vessel and vehicle logbooks.
6. Conduct inventory management and maintenance of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance and availability of supplies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with marine engines, outboard motors, and related equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot common malfunctions and use hand and shop tools effectively.
- Knowledge of welding practices and attention to detail.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or the ability to obtain it post-hire.
