About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Liaison to join our team in Houston, TX and Louisiana (West). As a Patient Access Liaison, you will play a critical role in providing logistical, non-medical educational assistance to patients and caregivers, as well as office and site of care staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
  • Assess individual patient needs and develop personalized education and resource plans
  • Secure written or electronic HIPAA consent for patients in the assigned geography
  • Develop relationships with patients and caregivers through phone, email, and in-person connections
  • Provide access and reimbursement education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
  • Investigate access challenges pre and post-infusion
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient access to therapy
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of patient services, reimbursement, medical affairs, or account management experience
  • Master's degree and 4 years of patient services, reimbursement, medical affairs, or account management experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of patient services, reimbursement, medical affairs, or account management experience
  • Scientific background and ability to learn product and disease information
  • Nursing or other clinical background preferred
  • Orphan or Rare disease experience
  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and FDA requirements
  • Familiarity with and adherence to internal and OIG Compliance guidelines
  • Ability to handle difficult patient cases and resolve hurdles
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage communication with case Liaisons and sales reps
  • Ability to respond immediately to prevent lapses in treatment
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to report on meaningful activity in the region
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Professional, proactive demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to conduct field travel and travel to company meetings, client sites, etc.
