Position Overview

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking dedicated and qualified Patient Access Representatives to join our team within a prominent healthcare facility.

Our mission is to enhance patient care by providing convenient and professional services. We are looking for individuals who are committed to excellence and eager to embrace new challenges.

The Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role in the patient experience by welcoming individuals, scheduling appointments, and conducting preliminary assessments regarding payment categories prior to their consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and sign in patients upon arrival.
  • Update patient records during check-in using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system at each visit.
  • Input new patient data into the system and maintain all other relevant information.
  • Ensure accurate appointment scheduling and direct walk-in patients and emergencies according to established protocols.
  • Retrieve patient charts, monitor patient flow in the EHR, and transfer charts to Medical Assistants or designated staff.
  • Verify that all patient charts meet documentation standards.
  • Complete all filing of patient charts by the end of the workday.
  • Manage incoming calls and route them to the appropriate personnel, including handling faxes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting is required.
  • Proficiency with Epic software is essential.
  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply.

Position Details:

  • Work schedule typically varies; generally Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 6 PM.
  • Compensation starts at $19/hour, based on experience, plus benefits.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental, vision, and a 401k plan.
  • This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
  • Position located in an outpatient facility.
