Dean's Professional Services is seeking dedicated and qualified Patient Access Representatives to support a Healthcare Facility.

The Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role in the patient experience by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and conducting preliminary assessments of payment options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients upon arrival.
  • Update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system during each visit.
  • Input new patient data into the system and maintain existing records.
  • Ensure accurate appointment scheduling and manage walk-in patients according to established protocols.
  • Retrieve patient charts, monitor patient flow in the EHR, and provide necessary documentation to Medical Assistants or relevant staff.
  • Confirm that all patient charts meet documentation standards.
  • Complete filing of patient charts by the end of each day.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel, including managing faxes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting is required.
  • Proficiency in Epic software is essential.
  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply.

Position Details:

  • Work schedule typically varies; generally Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM.
  • Compensation is $19 per hour, based on experience, plus benefits.
  • Comprehensive benefits package includes healthcare, dental, vision, and a 401k plan.
  • This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
  • Position is within an outpatient facility.
