Job Overview

Solvere Technical Group is in search of a dedicated IT Help Desk Specialist to deliver exceptional technical assistance to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive IT support to effectively resolve technical challenges for both on-site and remote users.
  • Utilize helpdesk management software to document all system-related issues and their resolutions.
  • Log trouble tickets in the Help Desk ticketing system and direct advanced support requests to the relevant departments.
  • Monitor system logs for anomalies and determine when escalation is necessary.
  • Address customer inquiries, diagnosing and analyzing problems using expertise and knowledge.
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain user workstations, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Conduct initial setup and installation of standard workstation configurations.
  • Install any additional authorized hardware and software as needed, ensuring proper sanitization of equipment prior to disposal in compliance with applicable policies.
  • Implement Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG), security patches, and operating system updates as mandated by security protocols.
  • Provide support for standalone and network printers, scanners, and other external devices, as well as install and configure authorized software on workstations.
  • Offer basic application support for tools such as MS Office, Adobe, and MS Teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical, in written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to clients without a technical background.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and resolving routine issues with minimal guidance.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage with diverse groups.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and equipment, including PCs, servers, switches, and routers. Relevant certifications such as Security+ or Networking+ are advantageous.
  • Experience ranging from one to seven years in a related field.
Security Clearance:
  • An active Secret Clearance is a prerequisite.
