ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Field Technician, you will engage with some of our most significant clients, including government entities, educational institutions, large enterprises, and other service providers. Your ability to foster strong relationships will be crucial in ensuring seamless installations and services.

You will collaborate with various departments and provide essential remote support for Enterprise Engineering at client sites and data centers.

This position primarily involves indoor work in dynamic settings, often within multi-tenant buildings. Please note that participation in an on-call rotation is mandatory.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience:
  • Proven experience in complex structured cabling projects, including the installation of Cat5/Cat6 cabling
  • Hands-on experience with routers, Internet gateway services, Layer 2/3 Ethernet switches, and wireless access points in commercial settings
  • Minimum of 3 years in IP networking
  • Prior experience as a Field Technician IV/V for at least 1 year
  • Experience in WAN/LAN installation and repair, including wireless access point equipment
  • Completion of relevant training as per the Broadband Technician Career Path Training Matrix or equivalent experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and engineering SONET/Ethernet transport

KNOWLEDGE BASE
  • In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP stack and its associated layers
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network designs, architectures, and topologies
  • Basic proficiency in software tools supporting current operations
  • Familiarity with network devices and appliances

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently for effective communication
  • Proficient in using hand tools such as drills, hammers, and screwdrivers
  • Capable of navigating various terrains and weather conditions while carrying equipment
  • Experience operating weight-bearing equipment safely
  • Ability to perform tasks from elevated positions
  • Competence in handling small components and making cable connections
  • Proficient in using handheld communication devices and software applications

A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
