Role Overview: In this position, you will engage with Spectrum's largest clientele, including governmental bodies, educational institutions, major corporations, and other service providers. Your ability to foster relationships will be essential in ensuring seamless installation and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments to provide remote support for Enterprise Engineering at client locations.
  • Utilize your problem-solving skills to navigate challenges effectively.
  • Work primarily indoors in a dynamic environment, often within multi-tenant buildings.
  • Participate in a mandatory on-call rotation to address urgent service needs.

What You Will Bring:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: You should have:

  • Proven experience in complex structured cabling projects, including the installation of Cat5/Cat6 cabling.
  • Hands-on experience with routers, Internet gateway services, Layer 2/3 Ethernet switches, and wireless access points in commercial settings.
  • A minimum of 3 years in IP networking and at least 1 year as a Field Technician IV/V.
  • Experience in the installation and maintenance of WAN/LAN and wireless access point equipment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, engineering, and SONET/Ethernet transport is essential.

Knowledge: A strong understanding of the TCP/IP stack, network designs, architectures, and topologies is necessary.

Skills: Effective communication, organization, and collaboration abilities are vital for success in this role.

Abilities: You must be able to:

  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilize hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Navigate various terrains while carrying equipment.
  • Operate specialized computer or test equipment related to the position.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in project management is advantageous.
