YOUR ROLE IN CONNECTION
As a Senior Field Technician, you will engage with some of our most significant clients, including governmental bodies, educational institutions, large enterprises, and other service providers. Your strong interpersonal skills will be essential in fostering relationships with these clients, ensuring seamless installation and service delivery.
In this position, you will collaborate with various departments and provide hands-on support for Enterprise Engineering at client sites, including data centers and large corporate premises.

This role primarily takes place indoors within a dynamic setting, often in multi-tenant buildings. Please note that participation in an on-call rotation is mandatory.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
Experience:
Proven background in complex structured cabling projects, including the installation of Cat5/Cat6 cabling in various environments.
Experience in configuring and installing routers, internet gateway services, Layer 2/3 Ethernet switches, and wireless access points in commercial settings.
Minimum of 3 years in IP networking and at least 1 year in a Field Technician IV/V role.
Hands-on experience with WAN/LAN and wireless access point equipment.
Completion of relevant training programs as per the Broadband Technician Career Path Training Matrix or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in troubleshooting, engineering, and SONET/Ethernet transport methodologies.
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP stack and related abstraction layers.
Comprehensive knowledge of network designs, architectures, and topologies.
Basic familiarity with software tools that support current operations.
Understanding of basic network devices and appliances.
Skills:
Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative abilities.
Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
Proficient in using hand tools such as drills, hammers, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
Capable of navigating various terrains and weather conditions while carrying necessary tools and equipment.
Ability to safely operate weight-bearing equipment within specified limits.
Competent in using computers and test equipment relevant to the position.
Ability to perform tasks from elevated locations and work with small components and wiring.
Familiarity with handheld communication devices and software applications.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is essential.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in project management is advantageous.
