Job Overview

The City of Chandler's Information Technology Department is on the lookout for skilled professionals eager to join our dynamic team as an Infrastructure Systems Analyst. This role involves a commitment to a standard workweek of five days, eight hours each day.

Candidate Profile

As an Infrastructure Systems Analyst at the City of Chandler, you will play a crucial role in our IT team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our state-of-the-art infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
  • Innovate and Implement: Design, deploy, and manage advanced Microsoft-based solutions, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and other essential services.
  • Linux Administration: Administer and maintain robust Linux servers and environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Virtualization Management: Implement and manage sophisticated VMware virtualization solutions, including regular updates and maintenance.
  • Security Management: Develop and enforce stringent security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard our critical data and systems.
  • Cloud Services: Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure and services, focusing on Azure and other leading cloud platforms.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Oversee the administration and support of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support innovative business initiatives and projects.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive ongoing improvement and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft products (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Strong experience with Linux administration.
  • Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Solid understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Azure SSO and cloud services.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for patch management.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and task management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for deploying and managing Windows applications.
