Job Summary

As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of low-voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, and other various low-voltage cabling systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate low-voltage cables, including twisted pair cable, coax, power-limited tray cable, stranded and solid conductor low-voltage cable, and fiber optic cable.
  • Install cable pathways, conveyances, and through-wall penetration systems.
  • Perform upgrades and additions to cabling infrastructure systems to increase functionality and usability.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Complete required documentation in various written and electronic formats according to company standards.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or certification in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a Site Support Technician role or similar experience.
  • CNET CNCI, BICSI Installer (INST1), BICSI Installer 2 copper/fiber (INSTC/INSTF), and valid driver's license may be required.
Competencies
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proven ability to install, terminate, and test low-voltage cables.
  • Comprehension of terminology pertaining to installation and service of cabling infrastructure for telecom, data, security, and wireless systems.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, including BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and national electric code.
