Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the information systems team, including business analytics and IT, to deliver insights that support business decision-making.
  • Ensure the security of systems, networks, and enterprise information, proactively safeguarding digital assets.
  • Establish best practices for business intelligence gathering, data management, and associated systems.
  • Create business continuity strategies to minimize operational disruptions during emergencies or data loss incidents.
  • Implement cutting-edge cybersecurity and risk management measures to protect business intelligence.
  • Oversee the development and execution of IT and analytics processes for the various organizations served by the teams.
  • Plan projects to generate reports that provide meaningful quantitative and qualitative analyses addressing business challenges.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and initiate potential business intelligence projects, including the creation of effective dashboards, reports, and measurable metrics.
  • Recruit and mentor IT and Analytics personnel, assign projects, and conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate IT security audits or investigations, both internally and externally.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to ensure organization-wide security compliance.
  • Establish SOPs to guarantee accurate reporting and data collection for operational needs.
  • Evaluate IT infrastructure and system performance to assess costs, productivity, upgrade needs, and other metrics.
  • Maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Set efficiency and effectiveness benchmarks for the IT and business analytics departments and recommend infrastructure improvements.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the department, ensuring proactive planning for equipment needs and repairs.
  • Coordinate multi-site IT systems through enterprise resource planning (ERP).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Power BI and business intelligence/analytics roles.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in information systems management combined with business intelligence expertise.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure, disaster recovery, data warehousing, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various computer networks, databases, and system architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of data security and compliance regulations.
  • Effective communication skills in a diverse and cross-functional environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends and best practices with a proven ability to implement processes and workflows in large organizations.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to change.
  • Ability to forecast and project based on organizational performance using accurate reporting tools and data collection methods.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills and public speaking ability.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT and analytics applications to support organizational objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., A+, CompTIA A, CompTIA Security, CompTIA Linux) are preferred.
