Job Overview

The Branch Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of mortgage operations under the guidance of the Branch Manager. This position is responsible for managing subordinate staff and ensuring the effective execution of all lending activities, including funding, processing, and closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage daily team operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of documentation and effective resource allocation.
  • Oversee project management and resolve complex business challenges while guiding the team through various transactions.
  • Administer team assignments, monitor progress, and maintain operational schedules.
  • Develop and mentor team members, providing ongoing professional support and direction.
  • Conduct hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary actions for team personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards to prevent delays in loan processing.
  • Deliver training on internal systems, disclosures, and branch procedures to enhance employee performance.
  • Address and resolve issues related to loan files, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation.
  • Stay informed on mortgage industry regulations and recommend necessary updates to internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support branch operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience, preferably in the mortgage sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with lending compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of company programs to ensure loan compliance throughout the process.
  • Understanding of FHA/VA regulations and investor underwriting guidelines.
  • Operational insight into residential lending processes, including production and support functions.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
