Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager of Commercial Finance – Canada Decision Support. This role encompasses budgeting, forecasting, month-end responsibilities, profitability analysis, and delivering effective decision support to marketing and sales teams on a daily basis. This position is remote within the US or Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decision Support and Modelling: Develop, manage, and oversee product P&L tools for Marketing teams, facilitating scenario analysis of proposed strategies and initiatives.
  • Pricing Financials: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to construct pricing models that evaluate profitability and provide financial insights.
  • OPEX Governance and Controls: Act as a key financial partner for North America direct sales and marketing budget owners, executing monthly reporting and variance analysis of actual versus budgeted expenditures.
  • Month-End Duties: Manage the monthly accrual process for North American sales and marketing cost centers, partnering with general accounting to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Costing Oversight: Evaluate and reconcile discrepancies between costing estimates in business case P&Ls for innovation launches and the bill-of-materials/product cost sheets within Cronos' ERP system.
  • Trade Budget Management: Provide monthly reporting to Sales Directors and Trade Marketing Managers on year-to-date variances of actual versus budgeted trade expenditures by province and product category.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a mathematically intensive field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably supporting commercial teams within a CPG/Retail environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP and/or OneStream is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of quickly establishing trust, collaborating cross-functionally, and influencing without direct authority.
