Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Job Overview

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer at Philips, you will be instrumental in driving excellence within the Emergency Care - Home and Public (EC-HP) division. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead quality initiatives that align with both business objectives and customer satisfaction.

In this HealthTech-focused organization, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with regulatory authorities, including the US Federal Drug Administration (FDA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality initiatives throughout manufacturing processes
  • Engage in risk management activities
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of designs into production
  • Conduct independent technical assessments of engineering outputs
  • Direct quality-driven issue resolution and root cause analysis, including Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve non-conformance issues and minimize quality-related costs
  • Utilize relevant data and statistical techniques to assess product quality performance
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical device industry or over 7 years in regulated environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in areas such as CAPA, Non-Conforming Products, or Design Transfer
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality principles, systems, and methodologies
  • Experience in developing quality systems and ensuring compliance with international standards
  • Adept at designing and implementing effective quality programs
  • Skilled in aligning product and process quality with established standards
  • ASQ Quality Engineer Certification is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $77,000 and $143,000 annually, with actual compensation determined by various factors such as expertise, experience, and location. In addition to base salary, employees may receive bonuses, commissions, and long-term incentives. Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, 401k matching, health savings account contributions, stock options, and more.
