Position Overview:
As the Head of Environmental Operations, you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of the Housekeeping Department.

Your role will involve coordinating the efforts of Assistant Directors and Operations Managers while acting as a vital link between administration and various hospital departments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial performance and reporting of the department.
  • Monitor and control unit expenditures.
  • Develop and propose the department's operating budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Coordinate housekeeping functions with other departments.
  • Maintain open communication with administration and other hospital units.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and supervise departmental functions and activities.
  • Establish work standards and optimize workflow.
  • Implement policies and procedures for effective departmental operations.
  • Foster creativity and innovation among staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Proactively contribute to achieving facility goals and objectives.
  • Exhibit strong leadership in meeting performance targets.
  • Administer Total Quality Management processes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive job descriptions for departmental staff.
  • Encourage staff participation in educational programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A four-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least six years of management experience in housekeeping within a healthcare environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial and operational data.
  • General business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High commitment to customer service and quality.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while meeting established goals.
  • Public speaking proficiency.
  • Participative management style with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
