Job Summary

Compass Group Careers: Director of Environmental Services

This is a leadership role that oversees the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. The successful candidate will coordinate the tasks of Assistant Directors and Operations Managers, serving as a liaison between administration and hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Responsible for department's financial data and statistics, monitoring unit expenditures, and developing and recommending department operating budget.
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinates housekeeping activities with other departments, actively communicates with administration and other hospital departments.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the department, establishes work standards and work flow, and encourages and mentors staff creativity and innovation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives.
  • Quality Leadership: Demonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plans, reads, develops, and administers Total Quality Management process.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Four year college degree and/or equal related experience required.
  • Experience: Six years of housekeeping management experience at a healthcare account required.
  • Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data, general business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, high customer service and quality attitude, ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
