POSITION REPORTS TO: HOTEL MANAGER

SALARY RANGE: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for engaging with guests who wish to book or modify hotel accommodations. This role involves welcoming guests upon their arrival, assigning them to their respective rooms and suites, issuing room keys, and processing payment details. The Coordinator also liaises with housekeeping, bell staff, transportation services, and kitchen personnel to fulfill guest needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Warmly welcoming guests upon their arrival to ensure a pleasant experience.
  • Managing the check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Delivering comprehensive front desk services to all guests.
  • Allocating rooms and handling various administrative tasks.
  • Distributing mail and messages as needed.
  • Processing payments from guests accurately.
  • Coordinating with bell services and other staff members.
  • Providing guests with information regarding local attractions, transport options, and dining recommendations.
  • Handling meal and beverage requests promptly.
  • Accommodating both general and unique guest requests.
  • Resolving conflicts or challenging situations with guests diplomatically.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
  • Consistent attendance is crucial for the successful execution of this role. Employees with irregular attendance may face disciplinary measures.
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality sector, employees may need to work varied schedules to meet organizational demands. Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is mandatory.
  • All employees must adhere to the established rules and regulations to ensure the safe and effective operation of the facilities.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to the essential duties, this position may require the performance of the following supportive functions:
  • Fostering a positive industrial relations atmosphere with management and demonstrating a willingness to support necessary changes in service delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect the restaurant and its patrons.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in hospitality or a related field.

Licenses/Certificates: Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licenses or permits.

Grooming: Employees must maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
