Role Purpose
The Guest Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic standards of our apartments. Key responsibilities include preparing units for guests through cleanliness assessments, testing WiFi and TV equipment, coordinating with housekeeping vendors, and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed to perfection. Following the Design Guide, the Specialist guarantees the correct arrangement of furnishings and household items while managing guest supply levels. This position also involves participating in an on-call program to address guest concerns, including lockouts and emergencies. Hours: Monday-Friday 9AM-5:30PM in-office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exemplify Furnished Quarters' Core Values in all interactions with guests, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Conduct thorough cleanliness inspections and ensure furniture placement aligns with our Design and Housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Housekeeping vendor's management team, inspecting their work to uphold cleanliness and design standards, while reporting any issues to management.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance tasks in apartments, such as addressing scratches on floors and furnishings, and executing minor repairs.
  • Identify and report any damages to furnishings or apartments that do not meet our standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to cable, WiFi, and other equipment.
  • Manage inventories of warehouse supplies and guest items, reporting counts to management.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with building staff.
  • Utilize SalesForce to update cases and enter necessary information via handheld devices.
  • Participate in after-hours, weekend, and overnight on-call programs.
  • Safeguard and maintain equipment, keys, and supplies to protect company and guest property.
  • Travel to various worksites during business hours.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and friendly attitude towards clients and colleagues.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Warehouse with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accuracy in matching merchandise with purchase orders.
  • Accurately fulfill requisitions and work orders for materials and tools.
  • Transport materials from receiving or storage areas to designated locations.
  • Review work orders to determine materials for distribution.
  • Document quantities of materials received or distributed.
  • Return cable equipment to the appropriate provider.
  • Maintain cleanliness in warehouse storage areas.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in housekeeping or operations within the hospitality sector.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using handheld devices.
  • Understanding of general cleaning principles and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to travel using public transportation to various work locations.
  • Valid driver's license and capability to operate a company vehicle where applicable.
  • Proficient in understanding and following verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Willingness to participate in the rotational on-call program.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must meet physical requirements to perform essential job functions successfully.
  • Regularly required to communicate with staff, vendors, and customers; frequently sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read text at a close range and enter data into computers.
