SALARY RANGE: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Front Desk Agent serves as the initial point of contact for guests, managing reservations and inquiries. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. The agent is responsible for welcoming guests, assigning accommodations, issuing keys, and processing payments. Coordination with various departments such as housekeeping and kitchen staff is essential to fulfill guest needs effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Warmly welcoming guests upon their arrival.
  • Managing the check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Providing comprehensive front desk services to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assigning rooms and handling necessary administrative tasks.
  • Delivering messages and mail to guests promptly.
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Collaborating with bell staff and other departments to ensure guest requests are met.
  • Offering information and recommendations regarding local attractions and services.
  • Handling meal and beverage orders as required.
  • Addressing general inquiries and unique guest requests.
  • Resolving conflicts or challenging situations with professionalism.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Regular attendance is crucial for the successful execution of this role. Inconsistent attendance may lead to disciplinary measures.
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, flexibility in scheduling may be necessary to meet operational demands.
  • Compliance with Cipriani's operational standards and regulations is mandatory for all employees.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to primary responsibilities, the Front Desk Agent may also be involved in:
  • Fostering positive relationships with management and staff to support service improvements.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Proficiency in the primary language(s) utilized in the workplace.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide clear directions and information about local amenities.
  • Capacity to learn and execute all essential job functions safely and accurately.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and other movements for extended periods.
  • High school diploma or GED; a degree in Hospitality is advantageous.
  • Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Most tasks are performed indoors with a controlled environment.
  • Ability to sit and maintain mobility for up to 8 hours.
  • Tasks require various physical activities including standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
  • Continuous communication with guests and staff necessitates good hearing and vision.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in hospitality or a related field.

Licenses or Certificates: Must be able to obtain any necessary licenses or permits.

Grooming: Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
