POSITION PURPOSE:

The Front Desk Agent serves as the initial point of contact for guests seeking to make or modify hotel reservations. This role involves welcoming guests upon their arrival, assigning accommodations, issuing keys, and processing payment details. The Front Desk Agent collaborates with housekeeping, bell staff, transportation services, and kitchen personnel to fulfill guest needs effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
  • Welcoming guests upon their arrival and ensuring a pleasant experience.
  • Managing check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Providing comprehensive front desk services to guests.
  • Assigning rooms and handling administrative responsibilities.
  • Delivering messages and mail to guests.
  • Processing payments from guests.
  • Coordinating with bell service and other staff members.
  • Offering information to guests regarding local attractions and services.
  • Handling meal and beverage requests.
  • Accommodating both general and unique guest requests.
  • Resolving conflicts or challenging situations with guests.
OTHER:
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established standards is crucial for successful performance in this role. Employees with inconsistent attendance may face disciplinary actions, including termination.
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work flexible schedules to meet the organization's business needs. Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is mandatory.
  • Upon hiring, all employees must adhere to Cipriani's rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities. Violations may result in disciplinary actions, including termination.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and visual acuity.
  • Communication with guests, supervisors, and colleagues occurs continuously.

  • Manual dexterity is necessary to operate all required equipment.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience Required: 2+ years of proven experience in hospitality or a related field.

Licenses or Certificates: Ability to obtain and maintain any required licenses or permits.

Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.
