Position Overview

This role is designed for individuals seeking to contribute to the operational efficiency of the Department of the Treasury. The selected candidate will engage in a variety of administrative functions that support the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Evaluating existing procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with established policies, recommending necessary adjustments to enhance clarity and effectiveness.
  • Understanding and communicating the perspectives of management regarding operational challenges that do not require in-depth technical expertise.
  • Identifying and analyzing trends impacting administrative functions, proposing new or revised procedures to address potential issues.
  • Supporting special projects and operational assessments as directed by management.
  • Collecting and synthesizing data and information to prepare reports and documentation for leadership review.
  • Establishing and maintaining organized systems for managing both electronic and physical records, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility.
  • Preparing sensitive documents and generating regular and ad-hoc reports in accordance with established formats.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate:
  • Relevant experience in providing administrative support, including data analysis, correspondence preparation, and meeting coordination.
  • Proficiency in typing and office automation tools.
  • Compliance with time-in-grade requirements for advancement.
