Community Support Specialist

Client Evaluation and Assistance:

- Develop tailored support strategies and interventions to tackle clients' issues, including mental health challenges, domestic conflicts, substance dependency, and more.
Therapeutic Counseling and Support:
- Provide therapeutic counseling and emotional assistance to clients dealing with personal or familial challenges.
- Assist clients in formulating coping mechanisms and connecting with suitable community resources.
Resource Coordination within the Community:
- Partner with local organizations, healthcare professionals, and community groups to connect clients with essential services such as medical care, financial support, vocational training, and legal help.
- Keep an up-to-date catalog of available resources and services.
Advocacy and Client Empowerment:
- Represent clients' interests to ensure their rights are upheld and they have access to vital services.
- Empower clients through educational initiatives, workshops, and support groups designed to enhance life skills and promote self-sufficiency.
Emergency Response and Intervention:
- Act swiftly in crisis situations within the community, providing immediate assistance and appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with emergency responders and relevant authorities as needed.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain precise and confidential documentation of client interactions, evaluations, and services rendered.
- Generate reports on social work activities and outcomes for internal assessment and documentation purposes.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Licensure/Certification:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or eligibility for state licensure preferred.
Professional Experience:
Prior experience in social work, ideally in a community-focused environment or with diverse populations.
Empathy and Communication Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal abilities, empathy, and effective communication skills with individuals from various backgrounds.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
