Job Overview

Pride Health is seeking experienced Certified Medical Assistants to fill multiple positions.

Position Title: Certified Medical Support Specialist

Work Schedule: Flexible shifts available including Morning, Evening, and Night.

Contract Duration: Initial contract of 3 months with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies and instruments are available.
  • Assist in preparing patients for medical consultations and examinations as instructed.
  • Measure and record patients' vital signs accurately in their medical records.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the proper use and maintenance of specialized medical equipment.
  • Conduct EKGs, pulmonary function tests, audiometry, and litmus tests as required, following a performance evaluation checklist.
  • Perform urine drug screenings, breath alcohol tests, phlebotomy, and other laboratory tests as indicated, adhering to performance evaluation protocols.
  • Maintain patient records by completing documentation as directed and ensuring proper filing of records and reports.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • AHA Basic Life Support certification.
  • Certification from one of the following organizations is required:
  • CMA-NHA (National Health Career Association)
  • CMA-NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)
  • CMA-AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)
  • RMA-AMT (American Medical Technologists)
  • RMA-NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals)
  • AMCA (American Medical Certification Association)
  • NCMA (National Certification Medical Association)
