Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at our South Hackensack, NJ office location. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our employees, diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues, and maintaining our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, including network connectivity and printer problems.
  • Research questions using available information resources and provide solutions to employees.
  • Follow standard help desk procedures and log all interactions.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory and asset management.
  • Prepare activity reports and documentation.
  • Assist in the maintenance of our LAN and WAN networks, including firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Assist in the maintenance of our servers and services management.
  • Perform AD functionalities on servers, including password management and security group management.
  • Learn and assist in specific network server-related tasks, including share mapping and policy management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or 2 years of college with emphasis in computer technology and equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to handle stress and deliver positive service.
  • Great learning skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and schedule flexibility.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of VMware Virtual environment and VEEAM Backup.
  • Knowledge of networking techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Desktop/Workstation Operating Systems/Win10.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Linux/MAC OS support.
  • CCNA, MCSA, and Network+ certifications are a plus but not necessary.
