YCS is currently seeking a Classroom Support Specialist to join our team. Our institution is an approved private educational facility catering to students with behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. We have a rich history of successfully educating students aged 5 to 15, spanning grades K through 9.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with various classroom duties and overseeing students throughout the school day. Standard hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Delivering quality care and supervision to students on a daily basis.
- Supporting learning activities and other designated classroom tasks under the guidance of the lead educator.
- Encouraging student development and fostering trust in adults through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
- Participating in all required in-service training and professional development opportunities.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience as a classroom aide is preferred.
- A minimum of 60 college credits or a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- A Substitute Certificate is preferred.
