Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Program Manager reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, you will play a crucial role in supporting and managing Liberty Hill's programmatic initiatives. Initially, your focus will be on Environmental Justice programs, including the Thriving Communities Grant Making Program (TCGM), EJ Ready, Environmental Leadership Initiative (ELI), and STAND LA, while also providing support across various programmatic areas.
Key Duties- Engage actively in program meetings and team initiatives, contributing to competitive grantmaking and capacity-building efforts, outreach, landscape analysis, and strategic planning.
- Design and deliver training curricula.
- Organize, plan, and facilitate meetings with internal teams and community partners.
- Oversee logistics for virtual meetings, including scheduling, stakeholder outreach, agenda preparation, speaker recruitment, translation, technical support, registration, and facilitation.
- Co-manage the development of a curriculum design team to propose effective learning modules on climate themes.
- Assist in creating foundation reports and proposals.
- Support the processing of financial reimbursements, invoices, and reports.
- Coordinate with Liberty Hill staff regarding Environmental Justice activities.
- Research and compile studies and policies related to Climate Equity Roadmaps.
- Collaborate with communications and advancement teams on current activities and messaging.
- Stay informed about renewable energy, climate resilience hubs, and just transition practices.
- Monitor policy developments at the LA County Board of Supervisors regarding oil drilling.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
Your role will involve conducting policy research and developing curricula while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. You will primarily coordinate initiatives that address environmental inequities and promote climate justice in marginalized communities.

- Prepare and manage foundation reports, proposals, invoices, and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with Liberty Hill staff on Environmental Justice activities to ensure alignment across teams.
- Conduct research and catalog studies and policies on environmental and climate justice issues.
- Engage with policymakers and stakeholders on relevant policy decisions.
- Stay updated on renewable energy and climate resilience best practices.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Education: BS/BA Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit, government, or labor union programs or campaigns.
- 2+ years of experience leading organizing or policy advocacy campaigns.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with various software tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
