Position Summary

The Client Services Team Lead is accountable for overseeing the shipping and receiving processes, as well as the administration of samples. This role requires a solid understanding of both intermediate and complex laboratory and administrative policies, programs, and practices. The individual will be responsible for completing necessary documentation and maintaining databases related to sample management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee performance management aspects including recruitment, goal setting, employee development, evaluation, and recognition. Provide continuous feedback to enhance performance.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by training and mentoring team members, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and acknowledging exceptional contributions.
  • Prioritize individual tasks effectively, ensuring timely responses to client inquiries and reallocating resources as needed.
  • Utilize warehouse and laboratory support knowledge to manage various aspects of sample administration, including receiving, scanning, storage, preparation, shipping, and disposal.
  • Review and process standard logs, documents, databases, and related materials efficiently.
  • Transport and deliver samples, documents, and materials as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies, tools, and paperwork, following established guidelines for disposal.
  • Identify and prioritize urgent samples based on project demands.
  • Provide intermediate to complex support in the application of sample, equipment, and shipping/receiving administration policies.
  • Assist in researching issues and formulating recommendations to resolve client and project-related challenges.
  • Support the review and implementation of policies and practices related to sampling, equipment, and shipping/receiving to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Contribute to the department's efficiency by suggesting improvements and actively participating in team initiatives.
  • Promote Pace Analytical's mission by demonstrating professionalism and cooperation in interactions with clients and colleagues, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent, along with three years of experience in sample, material, or laboratory administration, or a combination of education and experience.

Required Certifications:

Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all necessary licenses and certifications in good standing.

  • A valid Driver's License may be required.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Understanding of intermediate to complex principles and techniques related to sample and laboratory administration.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Experience with daily administration of sample programs and policies.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices.
  • Ability to resolve administrative or technical issues related to samples.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to the role.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff and clients.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
