Job Overview

Shepard Exposition Services is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee local events in the branch region. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of all activities associated with assigned events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Supervise the production of trade shows and local events
    • Project labor costs and track labor throughout the event until completion
    • Compile and share production plans with the event team
  • Team Leadership
    • Follow Team Leader Standard Operating Procedures when performing Team Leader duties
    • Review and adhere to Management Orders per event
  • Customer Service and Labor Management
    • Complete exhibitor orders in a timely manner
    • Place union labor calls and schedule union labor
    • Maintain knowledge of union contracts, rules, and labor rates
  • Operations and Safety
    • Meet planning and production deadlines
    • Enforce safety rules and company best practices
    • Follow all payroll procedures and submit payroll accurately and in a timely manner
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Travel nationally as needed to supervise specific tasks or projects
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience working on-site for a trade show general contractor – supervisory experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Bi or multilingual a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrate Core Values of Caring, Commitment, Integrity, Spirit, Responsiveness, Inclusive, and Teamwork
  • Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner making daily decisions to benefit the client and the company
  • Treat all internal and external customers with courtesy and respect, as outlined in our Blue Diamond Customer Service Program
