Position Summary

The Client Services Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the logistics of sample handling, including shipping, receiving, and processing. This role requires a thorough understanding of laboratory protocols and administrative procedures, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage performance-related activities such as recruitment, goal setting, and employee development while providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative team atmosphere by mentoring staff and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while addressing team concerns and facilitating communication.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely responses to client inquiries and manage workflow efficiently.
  • Utilize warehouse and laboratory expertise to provide comprehensive support in sample administration, including logistics and documentation.
  • Oversee the completion and processing of various logs and records to maintain accurate operational data.
  • Coordinate the transportation and delivery of samples and related materials as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies and equipment, adhering to established disposal protocols.
  • Assess urgent sample requests and prioritize based on project demands.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and management regarding sample administration policies and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving project-related issues, offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies and practices that align with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency by actively participating in team initiatives and offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Exemplify Pace Analytical's mission by maintaining a professional and cooperative demeanor in all interactions.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with three years of experience in sample or laboratory administration, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Required Certifications:

Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining all necessary licenses and certifications in good standing.

  • A valid driver's license may be required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of sample and laboratory administration principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving protocols.
  • Experience in managing sample programs and administrative oversight.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices.
  • Ability to resolve administrative and technical issues related to sample handling.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications and systems.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
