Position Summary

The Client Services Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving processes, as well as the administration of samples. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of laboratory and administrative policies, procedures, and practices while managing various forms, documents, and databases. The position entails a variety of responsibilities in information management, sample handling, and related services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee performance management aspects, including recruitment, goal setting, employee development, evaluation, and recognition. Provide continuous feedback for performance enhancement.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by training and mentoring team members, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and acknowledging exceptional contributions.
  • Prioritize individual workloads effectively, ensuring timely responses to client inquiries and reallocating tasks as necessary.
  • Utilize warehouse and laboratory support knowledge to manage sample administration tasks, including receiving, scanning, storage, preparation, shipping, and disposal of samples.
  • Complete and process various standard logs, documents, databases, and related materials efficiently.
  • Transport and deliver samples, documents, and materials as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies, tools, and paperwork, while disposing of materials according to established guidelines.
  • Identify and prioritize urgent samples based on project requirements.
  • Provide support in addressing sample, equipment, and shipping/receiving administrative policies and practices.
  • Assist in investigating issues and formulating recommendations to resolve project and customer concerns.
  • Support the implementation of sampling, equipment, and shipping/receiving policies to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, seeking guidance or escalating issues as necessary.
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency by suggesting improvements and actively participating in team initiatives.
  • Promote Pace Analytical's mission by demonstrating professionalism and cooperation in interactions with customers and colleagues, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with three (3) years of experience in sample, material, or laboratory administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Certifications:

Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all necessary licenses and certifications in active status.

  • A valid Driver's License may be required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of intermediate to complex principles and practices in sample and laboratory administration.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving protocols.
  • Experience in managing sample programs and related administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices.
  • Ability to resolve administrative or technical issues related to samples.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to the role.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
