Position Summary

The Client Services Team Lead is accountable for overseeing the logistics of sample handling, including the receipt, processing, and management of samples. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of laboratory protocols and administrative procedures while ensuring accurate documentation and data management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs all facets of performance management, including recruitment, goal establishment, employee development, and performance evaluations. Provides continuous feedback for improvement.
  • Cultivates a motivating team atmosphere by mentoring team members and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while recognizing exceptional contributions.
  • Prioritizes individual tasks effectively, ensuring prompt responses to client inquiries and reallocating work as necessary.
  • Utilizes warehouse and laboratory expertise to manage various aspects of sample administration, including receiving, documentation, storage, preparation, shipping, and disposal.
  • Reviews and processes standard logs, documents, databases, and related information accurately.
  • Handles the transportation and delivery of samples, documents, and materials as required.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of supplies, tools, and paperwork, following established disposal guidelines.
  • Identifies urgent samples and prioritizes tasks based on project demands.
  • Offers support in navigating sample, equipment, and shipping/receiving administrative policies and practices.
  • Assists in investigating issues and formulating recommendations to address project and client concerns.
  • Participates in the review and implementation of policies and practices related to sampling and shipping/receiving to align with organizational needs.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations, seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Enhances departmental efficiency by contributing ideas and participating actively in team initiatives.
  • Promotes Pace Analytical's mission by interacting courteously with clients and colleagues, fostering a collaborative workplace.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent, along with three years of experience in sample, material, or laboratory administration, or a combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses and certifications in good standing.

  • A valid Driver's License may be necessary.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of intermediate to complex principles and practices of sample and laboratory administration.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving protocols.
  • Experience with daily administration of sample programs and policies.
  • Safe driving practices.
  • Ability to resolve administrative or technical issues related to samples.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications and systems.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Skill in interpreting and applying organizational policies.
  • Ability to deliver presentations effectively.
  • Establishing positive working relationships with various stakeholders.
