Human Resources Specialist in Industrial Sector

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a prominent provider of high-power semiconductors and fiber lasers. We are looking for a committed Human Resources Specialist to become a part of their Operations HR team. This position presents an exciting opportunity to engage in a vibrant environment at the cutting edge of laser technology, facilitating growth across various locations.
Position Title: Human Resources Specialist
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $30 - $38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Location: Primarily based in Vancouver, WA, with occasional travel required
Key Responsibilities
- ***Experience in HR within the Industrial Sector is advantageous
- Act as the main HR contact for designated business units within Operations.
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Spearhead recruitment initiatives for technical and salaried roles, working closely with hiring managers on strategies and processes.
- Provide support and guidance for intricate employee relations issues, including investigations and adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to promote employee development through training programs and performance management.
- Contribute to HR initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, employee engagement, and strategic goals.
- Foster open communication and build relationships across teams to create a positive and collaborative workplace.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; HR certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience, with a strong focus on employee relations and recruitment.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is essential.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite, especially Excel; experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred).
- Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
