Role Summary

The HR Coordinator role at TekWissen, located in Ann Arbor, MI, is a vital full-time position within the Human Resources department, directly reporting to the HR Generalist. This non-exempt role under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is essential for supporting HR operations by ensuring effective communication among candidates, clients, and internal teams. The coordinator will handle sensitive information within HRIS and benefits systems, uphold confidentiality, and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the main point of contact for administrative support, ensuring professional communication with candidates, clients, and team members.
  • Oversee and maintain sensitive information within HRIS and benefits systems, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all records.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, collaborating with various departments to provide a smooth transition for incoming staff.
  • Address State and Federal unemployment inquiries with accuracy, effectively communicating with relevant parties to resolve issues.
  • Process payroll-related requests, including garnishments, in partnership with the Payroll Provider, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Manage office communications, including mail distribution, to support efficient operations.
  • Assist the HR department with primary HR duties such as answering calls, aiding in onboarding, and responding to unemployment inquiries.
  • Handle office responsibilities, including ordering supplies, restocking breakroom items, and preparing equipment for new hires.
Required Skills:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills suitable for a professional environment.
  • Experience in a corporate setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Able to function in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with general office equipment.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a business or corporate environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the corporate office.
