JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist is responsible for managing daily human resources operations and providing strategic HR support across the organization by fostering strong relationships with both leadership and employees. Key responsibilities encompass Learning & Development, Safety, and Personnel Management, with occasional recruitment support as needed.

JOB DUTIES:
Core responsibilities include the following, with additional tasks as assigned.

Learning and Development
  • Organize, schedule, and monitor employee training programs.
  • Ensure documentation of all certifications, licenses, and renewals, while tracking employee compliance with continuing education requirements.
  • Maintain and update content within the Learning Management System (LMS) or OxfordU e-Learning platform.
  • Manage user access within the LMS as necessary.
  • Coordinate Lunch & Learn events, including invitations, venue arrangements, catering, and post-event feedback.
  • Collaborate with LMS representatives to create and update standard operating procedures for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly updates on training initiatives.
  • Oversee and enhance Career Path and Succession Planning programs.
  • Offer guidance to employees and supervisors regarding professional development.
  • Implement and collect data for annual employee Stay Interviews in collaboration with IT.
  • Assist in facilitating new hire orientation.
  • Review and suggest improvements for onboarding processes based on feedback.
Safety
  • Serve as the primary contact for the Safety Program and CINTAS.
  • Collaborate with external safety consultants to ensure compliance with safety training and regulations.
  • Act as the HR representative on the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Maintain and lead training for the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
  • Handle workers' compensation inquiries and claims.
  • Assist with the intake and processing of workers' compensation claims, including necessary documentation.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and coordinate claims with insurance providers.
Personnel Management & Employee Relations
  • Act as a resource for employee inquiries regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate resolutions for employee-related issues, including those requiring Counseling Records/Program.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts as needed.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage the offboarding process for voluntary and involuntary separations, including exit interviews.
  • Champion improvements within the HR department by analyzing processes and recommending enhancements.
Other/Admin
  • Update and maintain departmental standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Labor Law postings through CINTAS.
  • Track and report on relevant HR metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain HR files and documentation systems.
  • Provide additional support as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 3+ years of HR experience or equivalent.
  2. Proficiency in designing and delivering training materials.
  3. Experience in employee development and succession planning.
  4. Knowledge of workers' compensation processes.
  5. Ability to mediate employee meetings effectively.
  6. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), HRIS, and/or ATS is preferred.
  7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Ability to build relationships and demonstrate social perceptiveness.
  10. High professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  11. Results-oriented with a commitment to quality and efficiency.
  12. Demonstrated integrity, responsibility, and a proactive work ethic.
  13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employees will frequently be required to sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate verbally. They may need to navigate stairs and uneven surfaces. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level.
