SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist III plays a pivotal role in managing essential human resources functions and workforce administration. This includes areas such as recruitment, employee relations, workplace safety, compensation management, benefits administration, training initiatives, diversity efforts, employee engagement strategies, attendance tracking, payroll processing, and maintaining employee records. The role requires effective communication of organizational policies and programs while ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The HR Generalist collaborates with various business units to provide necessary human resources support and may also assess and manage vendors for supplemental HR services. This position assists the Human Resources Manager in daily operations, requiring a candidate who is adept at handling diverse HR responsibilities, possesses strong communication skills, and maintains confidentiality. The work environment is dynamic, requiring both independent and collaborative efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities are essential to the role but are not exhaustive and may include additional duties as assigned:
  • Facilitate HR functions and workforce management initiatives.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training programs for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment and labor laws.
  • Support internal policies and procedures.
  • Audit benefits invoices and HR-related expenses.
  • Manage employee relations and communication.
  • Create and maintain employee records in the company database.
  • Assist with recruitment processes.
  • Track incoming resumes and ensure compliance with EEO requirements.
  • Manage employment authorization processes.
  • Support workplace safety initiatives.
  • Oversee leave of absence management.
  • Utilize software tools such as Adobe, Microsoft Word, Office, and Outlook for document management.
  • Assist with governmental reporting requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are essential for this position:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, 8+ years of experience in a related industry.
  • Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Expertise in Workers' Compensation.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in Adobe software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with managing Leaves of Absence and Disability documentation.
  • Knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, and PFL regulations.
