Role Summary:
The Engineering Project Coordinator will oversee the alignment of personnel and processes to guarantee that engineering initiatives are completed punctually and yield the expected outcomes. This role involves crafting comprehensive project timelines, ensuring the availability and distribution of resources, and managing the successful delivery of projects within the established budget and scope. Projects may encompass updates to existing products, engineering modifications, production line transitions, and the introduction of new equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed project timelines to monitor progress and milestones for the assigned brand utilizing appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for the successful execution of projects.
- Collaborate with site leadership and vendors to assess resource availability.
- Track and report on project performance, including timelines for product development such as tooling, manufacturing, or procurement of products for timely release.
- Responsible for communicating metrics and KPIs related to the project.
- Monitor the status and timing of all engineering design and process modifications, including new application releases and changes in OEM programs.
- Facilitate weekly meetings to discuss change notices and provide updates.
- Offer timing and feedback to the PMO to support corporate aftermarket and OEM initiatives as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or training is necessary.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
- Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Adept at performing calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, with a strong grasp of basic algebra and geometry.
- Proficient in problem-solving, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in both mathematical and diagrammatic forms.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel 20-25% to various manufacturing locations.
