POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator will manage engineering initiatives to guarantee on-schedule completion and successful results. Key responsibilities encompass crafting project timelines, distributing resources, tracking project advancements, and providing regular updates to senior management. Projects will focus on incorporating engineering principles into new offerings, enhancing current products, and synchronizing research and development efforts for technical innovation.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee and coordinate all engineering initiatives, swiftly addressing any obstacles
  • Lead resolution efforts for projects that are not meeting expectations
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to outline project objectives, resource needs, budget constraints, and timelines
  • Work alongside leadership to secure essential resources
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive schedule of engineering projects
  • Support the establishment of a streamlined process for engineering activities
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager on additional responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business is required; an MBA is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years in project management is necessary
  • Experience in automotive or similar industries is advantageous

Required Licenses

  • PMP certification is preferred

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project
  • Capable of evaluating proposed modifications and formulating business strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and team leadership capabilities

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be required, up to 25% annually, including some international travel

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role functions as an individual contributor without direct supervisory duties

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Light Work: Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally

Visual Acuity

  • Close visual acuity is necessary for data analysis, computer tasks, and visual inspections
