Position Overview: Staff Accountant

If you possess a keen eye for detail and have robust analytical capabilities, this role may align with your career aspirations. As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include managing the general ledger, generating financial statements, and supporting audit processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile, analyze, and prepare journal entries related to revenue and general administrative expenses, along with other pertinent accounts.
  • Ensure that sales promotions are accurately established and functioning as intended.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of inter-company accounts.
  • Compile, analyze, and manage claims related to inventory discrepancies and damages.
  • Produce and analyze daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with precision.
  • Assist in month-end variance reporting for inclusion in the financial package.
  • Support the preparation of monthly internal and external financial reports.
  • Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, including thorough review and investigation of exceptions.
  • Provide assistance with interim and year-end audit requirements.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
  • Independently reconcile, investigate, and resolve various account activity exceptions.
  • Help review and standardize procedures to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Take on special projects as assigned by management.

Special Accountability:

In the role of Staff Accountant, you will be instrumental in upholding the integrity of the company's financial records and ensuring adherence to accounting regulations. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be vital in delivering high-quality work with minimal errors.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in business or equivalent professional experience.
  • Familiarity with AS 400 systems.

Essential Skills:

To thrive in this position, you should have a solid grasp of Full Cycle Accounting, demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and possess strong communication abilities. Organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to meet deadlines are critical. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are mandatory.
