As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse (RN) in Rehabilitation Services is accountable for delivering exceptional patient care within a specified timeframe. Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit proficiency in the nursing process and its application.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on comprehensive assessments and patient age considerations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to create tailored care strategies.
  • Monitor and document patient responses, recognizing changes in both physiological and psychosocial conditions, and take appropriate actions as necessary.
  • Engage in unit-based Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Foster an environment conducive to high-quality patient care by adhering to best practices and utilizing resources effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring respect for privacy, autonomy, and dignity.
  • Design and evaluate educational plans tailored to the learning needs of patients and families.
  • Commit to professional development through participation in educational opportunities, literature review, and in-service training.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education:
Must hold a current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.

Essential Skills:
Requires strong critical thinking abilities, decisive judgment, and the capacity to work independently. Must thrive in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately to challenges.

Certifications Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are mandatory. (BLS certification may be obtained within the first week of patient care following orientation; ACLS and PALS certifications may be acquired within six months of patient care following orientation.)

Licenses:
Current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.
