Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile, analyze, and prepare journal entries related to revenue and administrative expenses, along with other pertinent accounts.
  • Ensure the proper setup and functionality of sales promotions.
  • Conduct reconciliation of inter-company accounts.
  • Compile, analyze, and process claims associated with inventory discrepancies and damages.
  • Generate accurate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including their publication and analysis.
  • Assist in month-end variance reporting for inclusion in the financial package.
  • Support the preparation of monthly internal and external financial reports.
  • Manage daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, including thorough review and investigation of exceptions.
  • Provide assistance with interim and year-end audit requirements.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
  • Independently reconcile, investigate, and resolve various account activity exceptions.
  • Help review and standardize procedures to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Take on special projects as assigned by management.

Special Accountability:

In the capacity of Staff Accountant, you will be instrumental in upholding the integrity of the company's financial records and ensuring adherence to accounting standards. Your meticulousness and precision will be vital in delivering high-quality outputs with minimal discrepancies.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in business or equivalent professional experience.
  • Familiarity with AS 400 systems.

Essential Skills:

To thrive in this position, a solid grasp of Full Cycle Accounting is essential, complemented by strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, organizational capabilities, and a keen attention to detail are crucial. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office applications, and a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are required.
