Job Overview:
The Client Relationship Specialist plays a vital role in cultivating a positive workplace that encourages, motivates, and recognizes outstanding performance. This position is tasked with delivering exceptional customer service while identifying sales prospects and executing account transactions. The specialist is responsible for effectively managing consumer and business relationship-building efforts within a comprehensive banking center.
Key responsibilities include focusing on daily sales initiatives and proactively engaging with customers to assess their banking needs through in-person meetings and phone interactions. The role also involves making outbound calls to facilitate customer onboarding, prospecting new retail clients, and consistently cross-selling banking products and services.
Additionally, the Client Relationship Specialist will support the Banking Center Manager in targeted sales activities and engage in community service initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Driving business development both inside and outside the banking center
- Building and nurturing customer relationships
- Cross-selling a variety of banking products and services
Essential Duties:
- Adhering to the standards of the Better Banking Pledge and Service & Support Pledge.
- Assessing the financial needs of clients and providing tailored recommendations.
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets for loans, deposits, and partner referrals.
- Promoting a sales-oriented culture within the banking center.
- Collaborating effectively with branch staff to achieve collective goals.
- Monitoring performance against established banking center objectives.
- Conducting consistent outbound calling activities to cross-sell products.
- Prioritizing and executing defined sales and service initiatives.
- Promoting the bank's offerings within the community.
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, including customer service and compliance.
- Participating in regular sales and team meetings.
- Providing guidance to customers on various banking matters.
- Building strong relationships with internal partners.
- Maintaining security protocols to protect sensitive information.
- Contributing to a team-oriented environment to meet customer needs.
Additional Skills and Requirements:
As banking is a highly regulated sector, proficiency in the bank's policies and adherence to applicable laws is essential. Completion of all compliance training is required.
Willingness to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook 365 and other banking software is required.
Strong skills in consumer lending and the ability to foster new financial relationships are preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are crucial.
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Availability to work during all operational hours is required.
