Position Overview: Staff Accountant

  • Oversee the reconciliation, analysis, and preparation of journal entries associated with revenue and general administrative expenses, along with other relevant accounts.
  • Ensure that sales promotions are accurately established and functioning as intended.
  • Conduct reconciliation of inter-company accounts.
  • Compile, analyze, and process claims related to inventory discrepancies and damages.
  • Generate accurate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including their publication and analysis.
  • Assist in month-end variance reporting for inclusion in the financial package.
  • Support the preparation of monthly internal and external financial reports.
  • Manage daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, including the review and investigation of exception items.
  • Assist with interim and year-end audit requirements.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
  • Independently reconcile, investigate, and resolve various account activity exceptions.
  • Help review and standardize procedures to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Handle special projects as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be integral in maintaining the financial records of the organization and ensuring adherence to accounting standards. Your meticulousness and precision will be essential in delivering high-quality outputs with minimal errors.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with AS 400.

Essential Skills:

To thrive in this position, you should have a comprehensive understanding of Full Cycle Accounting, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate strong communication abilities. Furthermore, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to meet deadlines are critical. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are required.
